Camouflage: Designed to Deceive is a self-guided experience through the fascinating history of camouflage and its many secret connections to espionage at The International Spy Museum. From its origins in the natural world to its contemporary applications on the battlefield and beyond, this immersive exhibition explores the impact of camouflage throughout history.
As Director of Visual Experience Design at Local Projects, I co-led the conceptual development and steered the design execution for the exhibition. I orchestrated a cross-disciplinary team to ensure that the immersive media, physical displays, and exhibition graphics were a seamless extension of the museum's core brand.
Visitors enter an "immersive media core" inviting them to find hidden camouflaged figures within natural environments; screens also prominently display the four design principles of camouflage to prompt them to enter each gallery for additional immersive worlds and learning.
